What a brilliant day, despite the weather being hit & miss it was still fantastic.I broke away from the peleton ;D to finish with a time of 1.48.46. I did Pen y Pass in 15.35 which i was happy with. :)Hats to to Jeff,John & Phil for riding home, sorry Phil if I upset you after i launched my Contador attack, I thought you'd give chase .Hopefully Jeff will have some good GOPRO footage

What a great day...apart from the wind, rain, sleet and hail. After nearly crashing down the pass due to a heavy and rather painful hail storm we finished our 27 miles bike ride and I cycled home with Jeff (summittoppler) so it came into a 74 mile bike ride Due to the weather being pants I only took a few pics but Jeff took a loads with his fancy go pro. the start or finish of the 27 charity bike ride Top of the pass Jeff going back up the pass again And finally after checking I did not bang my head or somehow travel back in time in that hail storm I saw these guys turns out they where The 3rd (Foot & Mouth) Regiment or a fan club to the carry on films ... well done all those who took part and look forward to seeing Jeffs pics and vids

Glad to hear you made it round safely, not the best place to have a fall off a bike I was in two minds about doing it, as you were all on road bikes, and i don't think i'd of kept up with you all on a hardtail......even Gwyneth now has a bloody road bike Well done everyone

Another belting day on this great charity event. We had it all, Sun, wind, rain, hail and a good craic Was good to ride with Phil, Ben, Rupert for the blast down to Nant gwynant, despite the hail But it did make you question your confidence a little going into the corners!! Good to meet Karl and see Sharon and Gwyn and whoever I met on the course. As Ben and John have said the GoPro was in action today. I had it taking pics for the first half every minute (see below for a few of them) and I put some connectors together so it was below the bars. However during the mamoth ride home (70 mile total) with John one of the connectors snapped and the GoPro was dropped in the middle of the road Lesson learnt, don't put too many adapters together as the increased vibration was obviously not good Unfortunatley anyone who has got a GoPro will soon discover they are not the best for shooting in overcast weather hence why all the official footage is in crystal blue skiesA few pics from the GP the start Sharon & Oldbird FreakyChurchill hitting Pen y Pass Is it on?And the weird folk on the side of the road And as for the video, because I had a few connectors from the bars to the cam, it was unfortunatley vibrating a bit too much But I'll see whay I can get from it this week

Yes good ride - had never ridden any of the roads round Snowdon so wasn't really sure what to expect. The climb up to Pen Y Pass was easier than I thought (no worse than Horseshoe), but does kick up right at the end when you are getting tired. Will have to go back and try the downhill into Beddgelert on a calm day with dry roads to see what kind of speed I can get up to. Nice change to get home and hang the bike up without having to do any bike cleaning (my road bike gets cleaned about twice a year if its lucky ) Well done you guys for getting all those extra miles in. Respectable distance for this early in the year
