Good turn out yet again with plenty of happy faces at the beginning and at the end!

Well the weather gods were kind once again and whilst the trails were damp the rain held off, not too hot and not too cold, slightly different route this year to the last few years they didn't have so many extreme descents near the beginning this time round, also the duck pond has been filled in, but I did clock the route as being about 3km longer than previous. No massive mechanicals that I heard of, I managed to break my saddle with 13km to go but managed to bodge it back on and continue to the end.

got back from a great weekend of beer and food with the pootle ride around the dyfi forest as a bonus.
Great turnout of the MBNW riders that came to say hello at the caravan.
As Russ said weather great for riding but friday night stopped the dusty trails by having a monsoon with gales over night so was quiye wet in parts and world cup descent quite sketchy but all our folk made it down in one piece.
On a bonus for me as i did it on the 5 but managed to shave a few mins off last year as managed to get the extra loop in and come in at 4:08 which if i took the short loop would have been around 10 mins quicker.
Roll on next year.

Great ride, even managed an otb near the top and a severe wobble at the bottom of the world cup descent. Did enjoy it though. Here's my photo contribution - Russ's entry to the 2013 Helmet Head.
