Currently feeling wasted as the annual Degla to Prestatyn ride went ahead today with 8 in total having a bash at it.
We used the usual route although a couple diverted a couple of times. Around 40 miles or so in total with the climbing you'd expect from the Clwyds. On arrival at Prestatyn we met the welcoming committee (Liz and Tarbo) and after hitting the cafe in Prestatyn a few of us rode home which seemed like a good idea at the time.
Big thanks to Dave, Sharon and Karl for the lifts to Degla. Thanks to Russ for guiding us around again and Lloydy for the water stop. Finally thanks again to Karl for pointing me in the direction home (along a route he told me afterwards he's never actually done and straight through a military firing range while red flags were flying). Not sure what i said to upset you but I'm sure you'll let me know some time
A good but tough day day and I apologise to Russ for taking you out on your new bike...thankfully we both, and our bikes had a soft landing
All in all a quality day out and thanks all for the company. I know it sounds like an Oscar acceptance speach and is a pants write up but I'm struggling to function at the moment.
Anybody want to buy a bike?
