Met up with Gareth and Rupert last night at the bottom Moel Fammau car park, the weather wasn't looking too good but at least it wasn't raining when we were putting the bikes together and getting changed. We were soon out on the trails and decided to make our way up to the Jubilee Tower at the top. During the ascent it started to drizzle and the cloud was low making us think we were in for a horrible night. However, as soon as we reached to top, the cloud cleared and the sky's became clear to leave us with some outstanding views. It was at this point that I realised I'd left my camera in the car, so you'll just have to take my word for it We then done a loop around the Permissive Path and the Sheep-track to the Moel Arthur Car park, before strting the return journey back to the car. We decided to go back along the Permissive before making the short steep climb back up the the tower before the blast down the Jubilee Path to the cars. This is where the fun began as I hadn't anticipated it getting dark by 9 o'clock and hadn't take any lights Once safely passed all the doggers at the top car park, we made our way to the cars, me trying to stick as close to Rupert as possible to benefit from his front light ! It was then the obligatory stop at The We Thee Loggerheads for some refreshments A great ride with excellent company, one that reminded me just why I enjoyed riding my hardtail around the Moel Fammau area. Hopefully we'll start to get out on a regular basis (when my shift pattern allows), so I'll post them up on here if anyone's interested.

Another good workout last night and considering the weather on the way to meeting point I thought it was going to be quite bad in terms of wind and rain but it turned out nice in the end with the trails still running dry and fast. As you say Mr T...time to get the chargers out

Good to get out for an evening MTB ride for a change. Only my second ride in the Clwyds this year, the first one having been the end to end, and a couple of the descents were new ones on me. Good thing I had my lights with me as even though they weren't actually charged, there was enough juice to get me down the last descent. A few pics off my phone. Cheers chaps
