Who chose the colour scheme and font? It's almost unreadable; in fact it's awful

We will keep changing the colour scheme until the majority are happy, the most important thing is that its readable on most computer screens and phones etc so comments please

No problem with the colours but the centre formatting makes it really hard work to read from one line to the next. Bold doesnt help. Smilies also alter the line spacing which also makes it harder to follow line to line.

Background colour better; but with that size font it must be hard to read on a mobile. Thanks for taking note

I agree with Doug on the centre formatting, is there a way to make the text of the posts left justify? I know it's really boring, but the colour scheme like the standard proboards one: support.proboards.com/ is a lot cleaner and easier to read One feature which I cannot find is the "new threads" button which allowed you to see only the threads that had something new. There is a "new participated" button, but I assume that is only the threads that you have personally written something in which have been updated? Could be wrong..?

I shall take a look tonight when I can get on a computer. The new Facebook style "like" button is cool. There is also an instant chat function which we haven't enabled yet but we have a go with it and see how it works out
Keep the comments coming and we will play around with all the suggestions so we can get the forum as readable as possible
Cheers

Have to agree with Rupert, the centre justified posts and layout don't seem to make the most of the screen space. The colours and contrast on some parts make you have to really look for things, not too sure about the purple either-just seems a bit dull! The proboard support forum layout is easier to read though. On the whole, it has brought it up to date with the new features in line with most other forums. Won't stop me from using it though

In common with others the centre justify is rubbish. The home page could also do with updating...I still see the Dyfi Winter Warm Up when I open page

If you use the reply button in the top right hand corner instead of quick reply option, press the justify left, then start typing can also change the font size and the writing ......just like word on your computer really

Well spotted Sandi, although I still think there has to be a default left justify that has to be turned on by the admin people to keep the overall format consistent.
A couple more comments:
- not sure if it is just on my screen but the title at the very top is split across two lines and looks like "Mountain Biking North Wales - The North Wales Online Mountai" on one line and "n Bike Community" on the next line, so looks a bit pants. I have 1280x800 size screen, so fairly standard resolution for most laptops
- The pro-boards app for Android now always shows the name of the person who started each thread rather than the latest contributor, which was better

The centre-justify and bold text is due to an error in the forum header (the part of the page that displays the various links to the MBNW website):
..| <a href="http://www.tweekscycles.com/CycleShop/Cycle/891">Tweeks</a> | <a </h4>..
The hanging "<a " needs to be deleted, so that it looks like this:
..| <a href="http://www.tweekscycles.com/CycleShop/Cycle/891">Tweeks</a> | </h4>..
Making that change will remove the default centre-justification and bold emphasis on all messages.

Hi Chris, I have made the suggested amendment, infact have removed all the links as they were all broken and not needed, sadly it has made no difference to the formatting. It's not my general area of expertise so would welcome any advice on resolving this issue, Proboard appear to be having issue with the themes at the moment and I suspect this is the root cause but maybe wrong

There is now a missing closing element for the 'h4' style, try changing:
<h4 style="text-align:center">| <a href="http://www.mbnw.co.uk/">Home</a> |
to:
<h4 style="text-align:center">| <a href="http://www.mbnw.co.uk/">Home</a> | </h4>
