Having studied the meteorological charts for a few months I think my choice of date was spot on. Any later and the low pressure from the Atlantic might have come in with the inevitable rain!
Not much more to be added to what's already been said but quite enjoyed the experience. A good pace generally without too many stops, no mechanicals to speak of and the odd minor dribble. The worst part for me was standing in Marin car park knowing the silly climb was still to come having already done over 40 miles.
The obligatory pasty stop in Dol was better than usual especially as Garmin read 30.01 miles at that point. It hasn't put me off doing it again but never again on a HT. it might have clown wheels but it doesn't have a rear shock and I also need to get my head around lubing up...nappy rash was that bad at the end my backside looked like the Japanese flag.
It was really good to get a few faces to join in and thanks to all for coming along and making it a quality day out and quality pics to boot...glad to have ticked it off.
PS Trailrash...the MBNW gloves are only available to members of the Pen and Marin loop in under 9 hours club, so when you're not working;p

Hi guys
Do you happen to have a route or GPX of this epic ride so I can do it? I've done Pen once and Marin five times and also both in a day, but by riding from marin to pen along the road through B-y-c. Was about 70km/1800m in total. MEch blew off finishing penmachno so couldn't do the 15km back to marin!
Cheers
