Welcome to the forum Mat. It sounds like you're best joining one of the rides that gets planned over that way. Keep an eye on the 'Plan yer Rides' section and tag yourself along, that way you'll get the best way of seeing the routes available

Welcome to the forum, Matt. If you want to explore the Clwyds or a bit further a field in North Wales you should try this website: ridenorthwales.co.uk/ (It used to be called ridetheclwyds) It has a variety of routes of different lengths, with maps and starting points etc. I've managed to follow some of the routes without getting lost. They are not overly technical routes but give you an idea of the area. Alternatively, tag on to one of the rides that sometimes get posted.

Hi Matt, As everyone else has said, The Clwyds are what is known as The Clwydian Range. The most famous of which is Moel Fammau, but there are loads of hills around there which offer both challenging and rewarding routes. The website Buffypara has put a link to is an excellent starting point, but there is so much more to the area that you really need someone with some local knowledge to show you or you may never find your car again There are a lot of places that you can legally ride your bike in that area, and as some of the farmers that don't take too well to bikers crossing their land, I would recommend sticking to the most common routes and resist the temptation to explore. As others have said, look in the 'Plan your Rides' section as there is usually an evening ride posted up on there weekly. If you're not sure of the meeting point, shout up and someone will point you in the right direction. Oh, and welcome to the forum
