Hi guys! i have a suspicion that my rim is slightly buckled because I have a bulge in my tyre. I've checked the tyre wall and its not ripped so the only reason I can think of is that my wheel is not true How can i check if my wheel is true or not or is there another reason for a bulge?

If it's an MTB wheel without rim brakes a crude way is just to turn bike upside down and hold something like a pencil against the frame but with the point almost touching the rim. Spin the wheel and if more than a couple of mm side to side or up and down movement then wheel needs trueing. If it has rim brakes you can tell from the variation in distance from the brake blocks as it spins. Otherwise tyre may not be seated properly or have some other defect.
