Best of luck to you all. Have been offered 2 spare tickets now but I doubt I'd get to to top of the first climb with my current fitness. Have a beer for me at dicko's

Thanks Gwyn and Davey, best make sure you pack the bog roll tomorrow Gareth! Some people never learn including myself having drank too much again. :-(

Another year another Dyfi enduro. Some mixed results overall for the MBNW crew (cramp, energy gel implosion, wrong turns, but no names as what goes on tour stays on tour).
All in all a good but very tough event. 41 miles in total including the run out and back to town on the longer route (the shorter wasn't much less), silly amount of climbing rewarded with grinathon descents. Weather was very kind being overcast and dry with little wind.
Over 1,000 had entered but looking at the results only around 850 registered a time but it's an impressive sight when you're on the moors and can see a multi coloured snake moving over the tops as far as you can see in front and behind.
Felt I had to do the longer loop when it came to decision time which ultimately finished with a snaking downhill through a forest which was that slippery it should have sponsored by KY Jelly.
A well run event and hats off to the organisers and all that competed.

Another well run event by Fraz and the team. Decided to make it tougher this year and rode the fat bike. Was good to see a few other faces before and during the ride. Even caught up with Dave 'Hobbitfeet' at the start. Respect goes to Dan Evans for taking the win All in all I was very happy at testing the fat bike at full pelt, it handled the course perfectly. I ended up being 18th out of 420 on the short route and the beer tasted better at dicko's

My first Dyfi & quite enjoyed it despite a very rough patch not long after the feed station. I'd planned to do the short route but by the time I got to dicko's felt a lot better so decided to do the extra loop, ok the mudslide was good & I passed lots of people walking down but it took me too long to get up there & should have stuck to the original plan. Must admit was very surprised at the amount doing the short route. Gareth's right about the sight of all the bikes snaking across the mountains, quite a sight, as was the start going out of Mach. has to be worth doing just to be part of that Was well pleased only to be passed once on the downs not so pleased at the way some people just stop when they see anything resembling a step in front of them, had several near misses crashing riding up the banks to avoid them

First ever Dyfi for me and what a great event.....hard but the descents more than made up for it.
Were a fair few pushing the descents and stopping at jthe slightest sign of a drop which made things a not unpredictable at times.
The mudslide towards the end of the long route was hilarious.
Weather held out though........wish had stopped over. Roll on next year
