Hi all, Just wondering if anyone knows of any good trails around overton-on-dee? Would love to find some great riding on my doorstep.
Thanks in advance for any info!
Cheers.

I've had a look at some of the tracks between St Martins and Overton and while there's one or two ok descents towards the River Ceiriog, they are quite short and there's not much to link them together. I tend to ride the canal towpath from St Martins to Chirk, then head up to the hills from there.....but I guess that adds another 5 miles for you in each direction, so making for a lengthy doorstep ride!! Yeah, bit too far without having to drive anywhere tbh. Iv been looking around the area, and at maps etc and i cant find anything. Looking at the surrounding area you would think there would be loads! I saw one on map down argoed woods but i only found a locked gate Also ventured down maelor way, turned right at the dee and had to lift over a few stiles. Will go left next time and see what happens. Must be somewhere decent around here!

As Chris suggests it's best to get the car out and head for the Glyn Valley from St Martins; some good natural trails and parking at the village hall

Yeah i know i can jump in the car and go off to loads of cool rides, llangollen, llandegla, glyn valley etc, i was just hoping to find somewhere i can just pop out to and hit a good trail without having to load up the car and drive there. Wasnt counting on anything spectacular, just a great, off road circular to blast around when i get a free hour or so.
