I use Cyberlink Powerdirector and find it okay. I think the current version is a bit dear, but older versions can be picked up a bit cheaper

Just spoken to my son Jack who a fair bit of GoPro editing and for ease of use he recommended something like Corel VideoStudio. It's not free (about £50 direct from them) but is a good piece of software and will do as little or as much as you want it to. They do offer a trial version which you can download to see if you get on with it before committing to buying the full package. The latest version is X7 but some of the previous versions ie. X6/5 should also do a good job if you can get hold of them cheaper. Here is a link. Hope this helps.

I used Cyberlink Powerdirector for a long time & thought it was ok but if you've got a Mac, iMovie is even easier. Jeffs videos are superb & I think done in Windows Moviemaker, so there's nothing wrong with it. Also I find taking lots short clips is easier to edit than just letting the camera run, hours of video needs hours of looking through to get the bits you want.
