For a long time now we've threatened to stop off at Ae on the way home rather than ride one of the Glentress trails for a second time. With it being only 15 minutes off the motorway and boasting a good cafe and decent showers, it seems the obvious choice to ride and get refreshed before the drive home.
We all done the Red route, which at 14 miles isn't the longest rail in Scotland but certainly punches above it's weight when it comes to great features. With a couple of big climbs followed by some fantastic singletrack littered with big berms and even bigger tabletops it certainly doesn't take any prisoners.
Once done it was a quick shower, food and time to say our goodbyes. All in all a fantastic end to a cracking weekend with great company and some excellent riding conditions. Thanks to everyone that made the effort to come and also for everyone's patience over the weekend

A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day.
