Hi MTB folk,
I am considering a visit to Penmachno but want some advice as to whether my rear wheel is good enough for the job. It is a Stans No Tubes Podium MMX with Hope Pro2. It is great for simple trails but as the routes are marked Red/Difficult wonder whether it will turn into swiss cheese. Would you advise a stronger enduro/downhill rear wheel for the job?
Thanks to anyone who can help me and those that can't.
Cheers,
Neil

Your wheels should be fine, I run Hope hubs with ZTR Flow rims without any issues and know lots of people run many different types of wheels without any problems. One bit of advice about Penmachno though, wear a good pair of waterproof socks or shoes as it's always wet, and I mean bloody wet ! I would also recommend you do the longer route (Loop 2) as it takes in some lovely singletrack sections. Enjoy
