went round the red at llandegla tonight and couldn't believe my eyes when saw how smooth and easy they have made the track. you will not need any suspension on your bike soon there! bring back the stones..

The black aint that smooth in some places, it's getting more and more potholed as time goes on. Some of the red has had the Tillhill treatment this week as well (bear trap out of branches right on the trail!) Did you mean that *really* smooth new bit on the red just before the final boardwalk that has just been opened this week?

the first smooth part is by the bird watching shed, that little climb was good and rocky. the second part is just after you go under bridge. its getting more like a path.. dont think the black is any different.

Don't forget the stretch by the bird hide isn't red, it's blue - I think that's why they did the work there.

Went up for a walk today with the mutt and my little girl, we stopped off at the wood carvings, just before the first proper climb. Is it now smooth all the way to the top? Have to admit that the exposed bit was my least favourite part, but to make it all smooth? You may as well go up the fire road!!!

It's like that all the way up now although it has now bedded in so is no longer like riding through sand. The natural XC race route through the woods makes a nice interlude to the climb.

Is that officially marked? Whilst I was at the resevoir I looked over the Atherton jumps, shame they're out of bounds. The good thing about the smoothing out is it makes it a bit easier on a HT, might be able to go for a PB next time the GT puts in an appearance ;D

Is that officially marked? Err. No. Should not be to hard to follow, was all turned up abit when the race was on. ive not done it yet, but supposed to be really rooty, and likely to have you off the bike a few times. (a mate went over the bars and off 3 times on 1 lap) Is the new section open now, near the black section start point?

i was up at LDG this morning. Not been there for a few weeks, and they're doing loads of digging work right at the beginning of the route, in the woods to the left. Anyone know if this will be for MTB? The blue section past the bird hird has bedded in a bit now, but it still seems to suck the tyres and drag I think I preferred the stones, and I hated those lol

i did hear about a possible pump track and some jumps that may be going in sometime. May be a technical/playground section or area? Which would make sense to be close to the car park. Either way i would be glad of something new! (fresh meat..mmmm )

(fresh meat..mmmm ) i'm glad the hill is bedding in last time i was up there it was like riding through treacle. hopefully they put a new playground section close to the car park it would be easier for the ambulance peeps to pick my broken body up ;D nice to see a bit of new track though
