The MBNW website has had a bit of modernisation, and a fresher look, what do people think of it?

I think it's excellent. I've been pro web designer on and off for about 14 years and I think the newer look is very nice indeedy Sir. Modern, sleak, easy to read, gentle colours, nice big buttons to press (love the subtle mouseovers)... top job my friend. I haven't been on for around a week... wedding plans taking over my life... and popped on today to see what was happening... "oooo nice front end" I thought.. So I headed the forum and spent ages trying to find the "hey we've updated the site" thread. So I must have just come on as you'd uploaded it. In fact it's so good it should be a kickstart for people to donate to keep up the site as it's just getting better and better. I can't wait to get the wedding over so I can get out and ride with you guys. In fact, I'll go and send a donation right now... that's how impressed I am

Very nice, my only grumble, and its very minor before you ban me!!! The map is a great feature, I use it a fair bit to be honest, however, over time it has become a bit over populated. Is there any way that you can select what you see on it, from the key perhaps? So if I wanted to see just the routes, or just shops I would click on the required icon?
Just a thought.
Loving your work ;D

The map does look cluttered however you can zoom in on the area you want to look at and then it easier to make it all out.
For example if you decide you want to stay and ride at Betws Y Coed, at first look there are loads of icons on top of eachother, by zooming in they all spread out and become a lot easier to see.
Just under the map there are route links next to the icons, so if its routes your after the link will take you there.

Looks good - a much warmer feel to the home page and easier on the eye. Keep up the good work ;D

Loving your work ;D I hear you bro, all valid points but... - The map size we can display is physically limited by the size of the web page, therefore the initial view is at a zoom level that shows all of North Wales
- The initial view of the map does make it look slightly cluttered, which is down to the size of the pushpins (blame Google Maps), but as Martin says if you zoom into a specific area then the pushpins obviously spread out
- There is also a 'View Larger Map' link which opens the map in it's own page
- With regard to only displaying specific pushpins on the map, i'll have a look mate but i don't know whether this is possible
Peace. Out.
