Hi guys, I just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Neil I usually hangout at the Bikeradar forum but came across your site. I'm 42 and 3/4 and starting riding 6 years ago and live in Liverpool. I'm reasonably technically minded (I do all the work on my own bikes) so I'll try an help out with advice etc where possible. My current ride is a Kinesis Maxlight that has been an ongoing project for the last three years. I'll get round to finishing it one day. You can see it here www.flickr.com/photos/38378636@N04/sets/72157618122860491/I do quite a bit of riding round North Wales mainly the Marin Trail and Penmachno loops 1 + 2. Earlier this year we did the Llyn Cowlyd route in the wrong direction I think (that cemetry climb is no joke). I also ride at Llandegla from time to time but I prefer proper Rocks like the ones in Snowdonia. I 've been having a look at some of your recent Forum ride Photos. What a turnout you get! looks like great fun. Hope to join you all on one soon.

Welcome to the forum Neil,MBNW was set up as some of the national forums like bike radar lacked the personal touch and didnt have a lot of info on North Wales, so here we are and i hope you enjoy. Theres always load of us on the trails so if you fancy a spin just shout, the marin is my local trail but we tend to do a lot of natural stuff around Betws and the conwy valley, cowlyd being one of the places we go

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I think this forum is what I was looking for. As I said I ride mainly around North Wales and there's nothing like a bit of local knowledge.
Craig wont be able to make it Saturday I'm having a kitchen fitted but hey thanks for the offer. I might try and get to the next one, hopefully I'll know you all a bit better by then.
Oggy that natural stuff sounds right up my street. I'm getting slightly bored of trail centres, I suppose I'm looking for a bit of an adventure. I'm not the best rider in the world but I still find them Technically lacking. We did the Llyn Cowlyd loop earlier this year but in a anti clockwise direction. We dropped into Llyn Grafnant via the Col at the far end I'm sure you know it. Its covered with a mixture of TV/football sized boulders and rocks(I didnt mange to clear it I had a couple of dabs). Thats the kind of terrain I like to ride.
and Scrumpy................ Cheers Mate.
