yay! I have an email! cheers Sooz. I moved back to the area 6 months ago and keen to find some new biking buddies. Been doing some tris and road cycling but my mountain bike is looking a tad too clean at the mo! I did ride Penmachno last week though - very overgrown. My arms looked like I had been self harming so take care! Waiting for some dates of rides then hope to see you all soon. Rhian

Just realised most people write a bit about themselves here...... I live near Ruthin, fitness mad and in to all sports that involve going fast - not just biking. Ride a kona cooola - white. The most important bit of info as sheep muck stains! haha. I have a landrover and happy to give lifts.
ps have no idea how to put up a photo, and no, the section giving help on uploading photos doesnt help me! I'm blonde.

What other sports do you do Rhian? As for uploading pics, it easy when you know how ;D First thing to do it to go to photobucket.com/Create an account on photobucket then use the upload feature to upload your pics to your photobucket account. Once you have uploaded you pics to the photobucket account then you will see a series of diffrent codes beneath each picture, you want to copy the IMG code and just paste it in to your post on the forum. I would come on the 9th to brenig but doing the Gower Triathlon on the saturday so planning to hang around down there on the sunday for some surfing or mtbing on a new course.

Hi rhian. Welcome to the best forum will find in northwales. We are all friendly on here so I'm sure you'll enjoy riding different trails with the girls & lads on here. I'm off down to Cornwall this weekend for some surfing. I believe you surf some yourself too.

Hey all,
I did indeed do the Offas ride with the Goldie gang - a good laugh, plenty of cake and lots of rain!
Tarbo - Suprisingly no-one used that joke on the ride! But, as they say, dont be a fool - check your stool! I think Chris who also rode with us was from Flint...... and Peds.
I'm thinking of trying the MTB race at Llandegla Aug 15th, never done a MTB race before but am up for the challenge. Anyone else doing it? I heard they use different bits of single track etc for the race - anyone knwo the way and fancy giving me a sneaky ride round the route beforehand?!
As for kicking arses - I highly doubt it. I have been looking at the pics on here and feel lame in comparison!

I'm supposed to be doing something else that weekend, but you never know I might turn up if you can enter on the day ;D northwalesmtb.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=comps&action=display&thread=2714 but nobody else has said they're going. I've seen where they turn off for some of the events, but I've got no idea where it goes. I think on the last one the start was riding up the blue the wrong way, then up the fire road from the car parks for a bit, somehow getting back onto the main climb then turning off down to the reservoir by post 42 on a 'special' rooty route ;D Alternatively, there's the Ruthin Merida at the end of September which loads of us will be doing, hopefully in MBNW lycra ;D: northwalesmtb.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=comps&thread=2867 |
