Wow - great community ya got going here, seems real friendly and the routes are spot on - did the Moel Fameau route last week with the long downhill - really enjoyed it.

My name is Russ, live in Shrewsbury and just getting back to riding after sorting out back injury so taking it steady and getting back to fitness.

I am riding a 6 yr old Commencal hardtail and am currently upgrading a few bits on it, forks, brakes + bigger rotors - got hayes on at the mo but any recommendations would be cool. Just overhauled the sram 9 gears with new cage, chain and rear arm and it's made a massive difference.

Well just though I'd say Hi and keep up the good work.

As for brakes mate, stick a post in the kit and equipment section and im sure people will give you there views on diffrent brakes

Personally i'm a big fan of Formula brakes. Have been running the Bianco model for over a year and found them to be 100% reliable as well as plenty powerful and well modulated.

Hi Cuzz, I tend to stay away from the trail centres, especially the DH ones as I am just riding for distance and endurance at the mo - getting leg strength back up and just enjoying the remote trails.
So I tend to ride mostly Berwyn Sth loops or up on the Clwydian range - really like the trails up there - less crazy sheep dogs trying to bite your feet off ;D
