Bodnant gardens farm shop apparently stock a really nice beetroot Juice..was there Sat last week & there was a small food festival on selling allsorts, didn't spot the beetroot juice, although a mate of mine reckons its really nice ! I was reading an Article in a magazine and they reckon to aid recovery after a ride you should avoid processed food and consune foods rich in anti-inflammatory nutrients, which include4 leafy green vegatables and brightly coloured fruits, apparantley apples & red onions can be especially helpfulas their active ingredient quercetin exerts anti-infammatory effects and high in anti-oxidant vitamin C, the article also said Pinapples also make a great snack because they contain bromelain which is often taken by atheletes to reduce infalmation. It was a great article in Cycling weekly Thurday 23 July all about diet & eating regimes pre & post race.
