Mine has got to be the Karrimor (remember that) at Coed y Brenin. This has been replaced now. Physically and technically demanding, nearly killed myself in my early mtb days. If I remember correctly it was 38km long.
I'va also done a few 50km Meridas, but these tended to be quite physical but not that technically challenging. More fire roads than singletrack.

Yeh prob Snowdon for me, wasnt really a ride up, more like a grueling carry and the decent was mental, I had to stop a few time scause my hands were in bits and i just couldnt hold on anymore.
Got to do that decent again soon its mental, had no power at all left in my brakes towards the bottom they had completly faded
Cheers for that one FTSAB defo again soon mate ;D

Most physically challenging i've done is Penmachno Loop 1.
Most technically challenging being the MBR at Coed y Brenin.

That was the most physically demanding ride / push i've ever done, but it was definately worth it for the descent. Probably the most enjoyable ride as well, proper sense of achievement afterwards. Oggy / Martin - Snowdon has GOT to be a future forum ride ;D I think the MBR has been the most technically challenging ride so far.

Most physically challenging i've done is Penmachno Loop 1. Most technically challenging being the MBR at Coed y Brenin. For me the MBR, most physically and technically challenging by far. I would have though more physically challenging than Penmachno, although i've not done all of loop 1 in one go!

I started the Beast but did,nt finish due to an earlier off on False Teeth section and then my Rear derauiler gave out on Big Dug...need to revisit it soon to conquer the demons. other than that had a Forum ride there a while back led by Doug. Want to know more ask Doug.

That would be our take on the original Pink Heiffer route that has evolved into something pretty special over the years using a couple of the better manmade sections but mostly the natural paths in the forest.
For me the stand out trail in Wales technically is the Rangers Path off Snowdon. I'm off to ride a Black Mountains loop on Saturday finishing with Mynydd Du DH track. Apparently it got a bit trashed during the Welsh Champs a couple of weeks ago so the title may be changing hands this weekend.

I really enjoyed the PH (I can call the heiffer that now coz I got on very well with it) because I actually enjoyed that section of the trail. What I'm trying to say is I didn't sh1t meself as much as on the rest of it

For me the MBR, most physically and technically challenging by far. I would have though more physically challenging than Penmachno, although i've not done all of loop 1 in one go! I just found the climbs at Penmachno alot longer than the MBR, and a couple of the Singletrack sections required a fair bit of leg work. I really enjoyed the PH (I can call the heiffer that now coz I got on very well with it) because I actually enjoyed that section of the trail. What I'm trying to say is I didn't sh1t meself as much as on the rest of it Xyba, the original Pink Heiffer is different to the "Pink Heiffer" we did on the MBR
