I have had pain in my knee for a few weeks now, it hasn't been bad at the start of a ride but hurts an hour into it. The pain is on the inside of the leg, and the Doc said that i have torn a tendon and need to rest it Anyone else had the same problem or any idea how long will take.. I have the same thing mate and did it playing tennis recently. Didn't feel anything at the time, but woke up next day and it was there. have been to see Neil Williams, at Rhuddlan (tel 01745 591771) sports injury physio who deals with all the guys in our gym and cycling lot. Charges £28 for 1 hr and he knows his stuff !! turn out it was tightness in another part of the leg that had caused imbalance and stressed the medial ligament. Once he took the tension was removed through massage and stretching, it started to improve immediately. You only need to go the once really as he will show you how to keep it stretched and in balance. Well worth a go m8 ;D ;D

I strained my Medial Ligament in June and was off the bike for 2 months - still can't run on it, but who wants to run? The doc advised me to start riding again, which I did, and the improvement started straight away. I also find that wearing knee pads has helped, as they offer some support to the knee area. the three exercises on here, www.orthoseek.com/articles/chondromp.html also helped, specifically for Medial injuries...
