Welcome to the forum.
There's loads of us based around this side of N Wales. Some admit to being slow, but I've not seen anyone claiming to be old - yet ;D
If you're after a 'slower' ride then keep your eye on the 'plan your rides' section of the forum. There's regularly groups going around Llandegla at the weekends.

38yrs OLD!!!!!!! I'm nearly twice your age and still consider myself young enough to ride a mountain bike quite well but a little slower. Think young and you'll stay that way!!! Merry Christmas

At 55yrs I was running sub hour 10miles races; and at 60 ran the 18miles 6 peaks of Snowdonia race and won the over 60 cat. If you live long enough you'll win something!!! Was still racing road bikeat 60 plus; 1hr 9mins for 25 miles. Let me know when you're feeling old and I'll be able to keep up with you HAPPY NEW YEAR

Nice to know there's life after 60. ;D Age is nothing, my granddad's 80 and he still sails yachts all over Europe fair play to him.

That's nothing. I'm 45, and when I go on the bike I turn 150 very easily!
