I am sure a few of us have Pain Pits so share yours with us and share the pain Any useful tips will help us train. Mine needs a step/block to make getting on/off the bike easier.

My new Pain Pit.... Scott CR1 Pro CycleOps Jet Fluid Pro Concept2 Model E Rower Great big fan to help with the cooling. Recovery couch!!!! The luxury end is watching some TV or films on my Macintosh. Order the Band of Brothers complete series and the entire Soprano's series (28 discs) to help pass the time. The theory with series box sets is you get into watching and want to watch the next episode and thus more likely to get on the turbo. As I am just getting back into things I have been doing 40 mins on the bike at moderate pace then 4x500m reps on the rower with 1 minute recovery intervals, it is a built in program on the rower. Will invest in some sufferfest.com training videos as well. A roadee mate has given me a good training program, I'll jpeg it and post it up at some point.

Waaaayyyy too posh for a true "pain pit" I'd say. Don't the rules state that it should be a dark, dank basement with nothing but a fan for decor? ;D Very nice though Damon, looks a good setup. Don't they say that if you can focus on the TV you're not trying hard enough?

I've been looking at the Concept 2 rowers myself Damon. How do you find it?? I was looking at a Model C or D via Ebay though - with the PM3 display so I could use the Digital Rowing software to help with motivation

Pain pit you've got a glass of wine on the comp table. Come on you must try harder But to counter it he's forcing himself to watch a Man U match. 90 mins of them is pain enough!!
