went to llandegla today, and only did a mile, before turning back, cold air got to my lungs, and i could not stop coughing, made me feel sick?
got back to center, in the warmth, was ok, soon as i went out, coughing again, like a dry cough?
never had anything like it, cold air seems to set it off?

Have you had a cold or a chest infection recently? I get it sometimes and my mrs woke me up early this morning with a cough cos the cold air got on her chest.

Sounds a bit like exercise induced Asthma, my son suffers from it. I've just go normal asthma - i.e. I'm crap all the time, keep an eye on it, if if get worse see your doctor.

Me too!! Exercised induced asthma is a bugger, it takes me 8 to 10 miles to warm up when road riding or a very steep hill on mtb to go into oxygen debt then I'm ok for the rest of the ride, after a snort on my inhaler. Remember not to push the effort too hard if it's only a chest cold- can put strain on the heart.

I don't think it is anything to worry about unless it keeps happening.
Cold moist air doesn't do anyone any favors.

Les I am just loosing a bad cold and felt ok until I went out on Friday. I made it to the double steep climb coughing a lot but at that point did the sensible thing and took the Blue run back.
I'd just see the cold off and try again. More than likely its just a cold.
