After 2 yrs of mtb again and having never brocken a major bone before in my life my time has come. Nice front door exit into a tree at Rhyd Y Foel tonight has left me with a broken arm!!! So thats it for a few weeks now gutted, however this does mean massive weight loss is on the cards and ill have plenty of time for static bike training so Ken watch out in 6 weeks

Bloody Hell !!! At this rate there won't be anyone left to do the Forum Ride next month. Hope all is well Damien and you mend quickly. I can see you coming back with a vengence on the next wave you do. If there's anything anyone can do for you, just shout. So that's it then. They say accidents come in three's, what with Damien, myself and poor Gwyneth, the rest of the members can go out and enjoy themselves now

Whoops. All the best. Can you ride with it? If you're in a cast it will get REALLY sweaty and manky if you're doing any riding - a hairdryer stops it itching and smelling too bad (I was riding 5-10 miles/day plus gym twice a week with my cast on a couple of years back ;D)

I certainly hope so cos I'm getting scared to get on my bike the more I read this forum and was beginning to think someone had pissed a gypsy off (sorry in advance to anyone one here that does dodgy driveways or sells pegs for a living). Hope the arm heals soon kay2 and look on the bright side, apparently when you use the other hand it's feels like someone else is sorting you out

Unlucky m8, heres for another speedy recovery, that reminds me who's the guy that sorted your insurance? You can still work though, that one arm Michelin Star Chef Michael Caines can do it so can you! ;D

Gutted for you dude. As you say, get on the exercise bikes and pedal like fook. ;D Have you started to get depressed about the dreaded bodybuilders "shrinkage" yet?

[Not funny mate I get it bad, its honestly like the opposite of anerexia!!!! It's the same thing I get if I haven't trained for a couple of days, end up convinced I'm losing all my fitness. ;D It'll do you some good to drop some muscle anyway fatty. ;D

Gutted for you mate , would much prefer to have you out riding than sitting on your arse spinning . That makes four of you with breaks , Wills wrist has had a screw and 2 wires inserted and out for months , Tarbo well thats clear to see , Gwyneth tops everybody and now you with your arm . It just goes to show how lucky we are when we come off and get away with it . Look forward to seeing you soon all the best Ken .

Jeez.....it's all happening this week How bad is the break then? It's just the bloody inconvenience of it all, having your arm in plaster makes even getting a shower or opening a tin of beans hard work Hope you're on the mend and back on your bike real soon
