Not a replacement now, had a bit of a brain fart when I thought about selling it! I'm now gonna keep the RM for winter and also Mrs Igg rides it now and again. I've demo'd 9 bikes this month and went back for a 're-demo' on one bike just to be sure. Can't reveal yet what I'm getting yet but I've ordered a new 2011 frame and 150 RLC forks with free Chris King HS & BB. The first batch of frames is due next week and I should be one of the 1st to get mine...... now just have to buy a few bits to build it up over December. muwahaha I hope it's not another bloody orange I couldn't live with meself Craig..... even the posties ride Five's round our way!

I'm just wondering how much it will take to do an orange patriot frame, I don't have a tape measure handy right now, but i'm thinking a metre for each side of the down tube, maybe 50-75cm for each side of the swing arm (not including the insides), and then about a metre for the top tube, sound about right?

Just thought i'd post this for duane/anyone to read really.
I ordered a few metres of heli tape the other day, to tape my bike up. Arrived very quickly (cheers Duane), and I've spent a little time experimenting trying to get this stuff on, I've probably gone through about 0.75m in a couple of failed attempts (good thing i bought plenty) as it can be a little tricky to apply. I found the easiest method for me, being a bit cack handed at these things, was a combination of two techniques. I cleaned the area up with the provided alcohol wipes, cut the tape to size, and then got a bowl of water with a little washing up liquid. I removed the backing from the tape completely, dunked it in the bowl of water and applied it to the frame, it's a little easier to move about like this and is easier to correct if you make a mistake, so you can get it lined up nicely. I rubbed it all down, and then used a credit card to sort of squeegee all the water/air out from underneath (nicked the water tip from the 'biketape' website, sorry duane!), then I used the hairdryer to heat it up a little and really get it stuck down properly once it was all in place, as the edges don't stick down too well if you leave it wet.
I found this way was easier to apply the tape and gave me a better looking finish on it, as it is quite tricky to apply and get it really totally see-through with no bubbles etc.
I may post a couple of photos up once i've finished the bike if anyone wants?
Thanks again Duane!

I believed you there for a minute Sam until you mentioned 'credit card'. Since when has a student been able to afford a credit card ? ;D Great tip though, as I remember Iggy saying he had a nightmare trying to fit his

When I've put tape on the underside of my frame (self adhesive stuff from Halfords) I found heating it up with a hairdryer as I laid it on helped to make it more plastic and fit the frame contours better (rather than heating it up afterwards). I did my best to press the air bubbles out using my fingers as I went along, the credit card tip sounds good.
I also found that sticking it down in a line along the middle of the tube first, then pushing it out around the sides helps.
