I think its about time that someone on this forum addressed the issue of one of the most underrated and underappreciated phenomenons of our sport. I refer of course, to the condition some refer to as 'Helmet Head'. Some examples are better than others, as Williat9 capably demonstrates here, and before you say it, no i didn't manual over his head before this was taken. It's purely his lid's design. I think we should make this a competition for the best MBNW 'Helmet Head'. Get your submissions in and let's see those domes! ;D

The more folically challenged needn't feel discriminated against. One of the best helmet heads i saw happened after the course of a couple of rides over a long hot summer when the sun had been beating down all day, obviously a while ago now. Upon removal of the afflicted's helmet, behold a shiny white dome, resplendent with red strips in a design that resembled the back of a tiger. Classic, although he did get pissed off with our growling after a while

Please tell me there is photographic evidence. If so, get it on here! ;D Sorry mate, got no photos of the phenomenon. ;D The worst case of it was when i did Snowdon in April a couple of years ago. It was sunny as fook and i had major helmet sunburn by the time we reached the bottom!

Here are the latest helm-barnets that have been spotted out on the trails. I must say that so far i've seen nothing to rival the quality of Williat9's reverse mohican but i'm sure we'll have a contender soon... Harri Oggy Arnie
