Just a shout to let everyone know that MBNW now has a brand new Facebook Page The original mbnw group was set up back when facebook was new and before they invented pages. The new pages seem much better than the old style groups and will be far easier for us to update so there should be a lot more activity Ive ticked the box which allows members to upload pics so please feel free to upload any mbnw related pics to the page especially forum ride pics So get clicking that like button www.facebook.com/pages/MBNW/117431308333176

Just a quick one for all of you who use Facebook. The MBNW Facebook Page gets updated regularly with photos from both Forum Rides and other rides that take place on here. Unfortunately, we as a group, we cannot tag individuals So if you get a chance, and want your friends to see what you get upto on a weekend, could you please tag yourselves, or anyone else that appears in the pictures for that matter. Thanks

October's Forum ride pictures have now ben uploaded to our Facebook Page, along with pictures from the last couple of weekends away and other rides. As stated previously, we cannot tag people except those on our personal 'friends list', so take the opportunity to tag yourself and let your friends know what you get upto on the weekend when they're stuck in the pub The page also contains links to other biking related stuff, so why not join the group

As a matter of interest, how does the total post count on this forum compare since the Facebook was started, to an average 3 week period pre Facebook? Just asking as it's gone quiet on the banter/chat all of a sudden?

To be honest Aled the Facebook is more of an info page, you get posts on it but nothing like what gets posted on here, you have to take Into consideration the time of year as its a very busy period for most people now and up until a week or two ago I'd say there was a lot happening on here. I'm sure it will perk up soon!

Might be time to persuade Smithy and Thistle to do another naked creep around the Marin undergrowth for something to talk about?! ;D

Just asking as it's gone quiet on the banter/chat all of a sudden? As Tim has said, the Facebook page is used to try and promote the Forum and give out general information about the sort of things we get up to. Hence the reason to get people to tag themselves, as this then spreads the word to their network of friends. I think historicaly it goes quiet this time of year as there aren't as many rides taking place. Dark, cold nights putting paid to the majority of night rides There's also the fact that it's Christmas shopping time and people are away from their computers, or looking on the Argos site instead ;D

December's Forum Ride pictures have now been uploaded to the Facebook Page, so if you're on Facebook and want other people to see what you get upto while they're stuffing themselves in front of the T.V. pop over there and 'tag' yourself
