Does anybody know how I can avoid post ride fatigue. I generally don't ride past 3 hrs but am always knackered a couple of hours after I get home. I normally have 500ml of Rego straight after my ride but the tiredness creaps on a couple of hrs later. Any advise would deffo help. Cheers

A few questions you have to ask yourself: How intense is the 3 hour ride? If you're going hell for leather then you have to prep your body for it, so........ Are you drinking and eating the right stuff before the ride? Are you drinking and eating the right stuff during the ride? What works for me is a can of coke straight after the ride and then fill yer boots with the munchies. But it is good to feel knackered after a ride cos you know its been a good un

Keep well hydrated during the ride, Rego is good after a ride but also a load of carbs to replace your glycogen stores, this can be in the form of a high calorie sports drink eg lucozade. Post ride fatigue is good as it means you are pushing yourself and will be getting fitter

Just read that half pint of milk for protien and some strong coffee for glycogen replacement; hence the reason why "coke" drink works. I use to carry de-gassed coke when riding for the last few miles
