Would anyone in/around the Llandudno area be able to lend me star nut setting tool this evening? Or be winning to fit a star nut for me in exchange for a couple of beers?! My new forks have arrived in Llandudno but I'm working in Bangor today and want to fit them tonight so I can post out my old forks to their new owner in the morning. Cheers

U dont really need the tool, any suitably sized blunt object and a hammer will do. A small section of wooden broom handle is always good

I used a socket with tape around it to get it spot on, and you can use the top-cap bolt to keep the star nut square against the socket

I use a socket, from a socket wrench set that just fits inside the steerer and bash that, keeping it horizontal. (like he said^^^ didn't read that!)

I put the bolt in the nut, pushed it in as far as I could by hand making sure it was straight then gave it a gentle tap with a hammer
