I...I... I... did it?....I...DID IT!!!!   <---- (tears of happiness) I went down, arsed about trying to do wheelies, experimenting with posture and chasing my tail practicing tight turns and although starting in 3/7, shifted to 2/6 right at the very bottom thinking (dont stand up, just pedal it girl)...shifted to 2/5 much sooner and found myself in 2/4 at the first turn and stood up for a little power then, went down to 2/3 for a bit...I was starting to have doubts at this point thinking I probably shouldnt have mucked around before hand as that had taken some of my energy, but kept going, so I was in 2/3 passed the first lamp post (YESSS! *pumping fist in head*) and then the moment came...*whispers with excitement*... I_went_down_to_1/3 (I christened the 1's at Llandegla, but I always used to have an aversion to the 1's...but now I understand and have made friends with them...and it felt like one of those special moments when I shifted down on the hill lol)...so yeah, into the 1's and got to the top HUZZAHHH! Its not over yet though...Ideally I would like to do it in the 2's, not be out of breath at the end, and be up for giving it another go ..or three...and I like messing around at that time in the morning its fun, shame there arnt other novices who want to come out and play for half hour....at that time in the morning lol. Its been really cool writing down what I am doing and making new plans, and all the advise given has made such a difference, I mean, I did it on my fourth go! So, yeah, thanks everyone. YOU LOT ARE ACE!!!  ...off for my walk now, catch ya la(t)-ERRRS. |

iggy ---  Thanks....  ...AY! and its a bearded she-troll! ..and..I see what you did there  oldgit --- I certainly did, but will I make it the next time?...find out in the next episode of... lol I still havnt gotten the balls / motivation to do it over and over though like you advised in your first post...so I guess that might be a new goal...to do it twice in a row perhaps? Think I might just do it once for the next few times just to be sure that I can, and then move up to doing it twice.
