After a day of messing around with a couple of go pros and a little lumix this is what we have come up with. Loads of school boys errors but doing it has taught us a lot so hopefully we can improve on the next one Cheers to Tim, Will and James, was a good laugh video.mpora.com/watch/IYGelctS0/hd/

An excellent video. Is it being published to a wider viewing audience?

Very good!!!
Gopro Cablecam would be a great addition, plenty of places to do it on the Marin.

Very good!!! Gopro Cablecam would be a great addition, plenty of places to do it on the Marin. I'm sure I posted a link on here a while back of a couple that did their home cable cam down the beast in the Peaks...if it doesn't turn up I'm sure I could find it again Loving this video and as I've not been out for about a month it's inspired to not only put my chain back on but think seriously about dragging the go pro out for a day of movie making instead of just full on riding ps I'm posting the link on my facebook just to piss off all the couch potaters I know ;D

Liking that a lot - if that doesn't make people want to get out and ride nothing will :-)

Very nice, you done a great job there. Really shows off some of the superb trails and landscapes in North Wales (we are so so lucky).

Cheers for the comments guys, learnt a hell of a lot by doing it so hopefully they should get better. A proper tripod for pan shots is probably first on the list as well as making sure the shots are all clear of us muppets stood in the background ;D One thing that is clear is that the new go pro copes with a lot of situations much better than the old one, also using the go pro on 120fps is great for slow mo but doesn't cope with low light very well at all and the resolution is dramatically reduced. ps. thanks to Gus for the loan of the black lab

I always fancied doing a "proper" mtb vid, in that a group of us go onto the mountains with the sole purpose of filming a video for a day instead of doing ones like my previous attempts where I end up riding off ahead, finding a so so good spot and diving off the bike whipping the camera out and trying to catch everyone as they fly past. I was intending to put a post up for this at some point in the last year but then I bloody ended up breaking my ankle and never got round to it. - Not that anyone would have taken me up on it anyway! ;D
