Ive not done anywhere near enough training either, its going to hurt in a big way. Would be tempted to bail and save cost of the fuel but promised the other half a weekend away

Last year was really dry but I think after recent weather its not going to be like that this year. As for training I always think I've not done enough but on the day as long as I ride at my own pace then I'm fine. Just hope I can shake off this 'man flu' in time Cut he excuses, see you on the startl line Sunday at 10-30!!!

So is everyone meeting at Mark's caravan for a last minute brew before the start? I'm heading down in the morning with Russ, probably getting there for just before 9. Who else is heading down in the morning?

Good luck all, now that it doesn't look like rain I may even be slightly jealous! I wouldn't be it was brutal for me anyway Got a last minute entry and within a few km's realised why I hadn't entered originally. Spent ages on the first descent as they were only allowing riders down a few at a time. The other descents were quality and even better when dribblers finally got out of the way. On one single track descent there was a guy strolling down the riding line with 2 bikes and Mrs walking behind and I had to stop before they got out of way WTF I suppose if I'd done some training it might have helped as when I got to 25km legs were struggling and it was hard to get going again after feed station at 30km I think there were some good times from a few on here...personally started at 11am and got back to car at 16:50 (and no j2f I didn't get lost Can't fault the organisers though and credit where credits due for the organisation, marshalling, signage, DJ and beer near end etc. Some strange sights but the best thing I saw was 10km to finish sign. Kelly Brook in lingerie with a tray of lager would have had competition from that sign. That's it I've done it once and going forward I'm gonna be in Tarbos camp from here on in...just didn't feel the descents compensated for the climbs. Well done to all who rode it and completed...take my hat off. Bed here I come

It was tough out there today with some great times from a few MBNW peeps. I done it in about 4 hours 20, which I'm more than happy with. Had a quick chat with Andy the MTB Ranger at the start of the World Cup Descent, which was absolutely awesome, and the descent was good too ;-). Also had a chat with Claire (I think) from Bangor who has joined the forum but not come on any of the rides yet as she wasn't sure how difficult they'd be. Trust me Claire, if you can ride the Dyfi, you can ride anything we post up! Get yourself out on one of our rides soon:-D. For me a tough but rewarding day, catching up with old friends and managing not to fall off. RESULT! :-)

Loved it, weather conditions were just about perfect, trails had stood up well despite all the rain recently, the queue on the first big descent was a bit odd, but last year there were bodies everywhere on it so maybe it was for the best. Good to catch up with lots of people and chuffed that for once I had to wait at the finish for people :-)

Another awesome Dyfi. Brutal climbs were met with shingle, rutted brutal descents, made even more interesting on the H/T!!! Was good to chat with Phil, Daveydon, Karl, Mark, Dan Evs, Ste and Sharon before the start (apologies if Ieft anyone out). Rode the route with PaulW and JimmyRid (Tweeks) and some mates from down south. Enjoyed the day as a ride with mates and didn't do anything daft as we all kept together. The sights along the way make the Dyfi what it is, unique!! The Star Wars family, harp player and the tunes at the free ale house are testerment to the awesome work that goes into the organisation Pics will be up later tomoz (DONE) and some GoPro footage will be on later in the week Well done everyone
