The CTC should really be representing cyclists on the local access forums or at least lobbying to get us consulted. The ramblers have lobbied so hard that they are now on the list of people who get consulted on planning applications, whereas cyclists/mountain bikers/horse riders are not.
The local access forums sound good, but if you read some of the minutes of the meetings you'll see how the councils' various departments ignore them.

I found the topic of Halkyn mountain very intresting as i lived in Halkyn for 37 years of which i have seen many changes to the mountain. My views may not please all but as a child Halkyn mountain was a fantastic playground and i respect the area and the people and to this day i still think it is a fantastic playground and should be enjoyed walker/cyclist of all types/horse riders and i look forward to walking and mountain biking and sledgeing there for many years to come.
