Does anyone own a set of Fulcrum Wheels? I'm due a new set of wheels and I can't bring myself to part with £200+ for a set of hope hoops. (current wheels are worn out, spoke nuts sheared/spokes worn/rims battered etc) I've been looking at a set of Fulcrum Red Metal 5's from Merlin for £115, but don't know much about them. The other option is to say stuff the money and get a set of Spank hoops nailed onto some Hope hubs for £250. My heart says Spank me But my wallet aint exactly bulging at the moment. Has anyone bought a set of freeride wheels lately for a good price?

I'll keep you posted on how the build is progressing. I've had to order the rims myself and then I'll pass them over to the LBS who will supply the rest of the kit and then build them. It will end up costing me the same price as if I'd ordered them built through CRC, but this way I get the personal touch incase they need a bit of fettling
