Technically I would be if I end up doing it as the Etape Cymru was only something like 92 miles after the signposting disaster. Waiting for the weather forecast, and to see if I have the motivation to get all the way over to the wrong side of North Wales for a 7am start. I think Ben has a free entry but hasn't admitted to it yet

7.00 is a bit mental but I suppose it's because there will be lots of slow people taking part (10 mph average = 10 hour ride, 5pm finish).
Apparently you can camp over near Caernarfon which saves some time getting packed and driving over to the start.

7am start, have a bit of a pedal (103 miles) for a few hours. Finish at 12 noon, get a shower and should be in pub for Sunday lunch at 1 pm. Don't know what the fuss is about. Reality...entered Etape Mawr, will probably miss every time cut off and be directed on to Etape Bach. I hope they do a refund if you don't do the route you entered Also remembered I've arranged to meet a few mates to do Cannock Chase Saturday morning and then go for a pub lunch. If Carlsberg did mid life crisis'...!

they do say 7 but they also say you can start any time you want, so as long as you make the cut off at Ffestiniog by 11pm you can start when you want. start @ 8pm and as long as you average more than 10.0mph you are good ;D. so are we going to do a group start

Group start is good with me, but i will be pedal off @ 7am Don't like the feeling of pressure at the cut off times, Want to enjoy the views, weather permitting Plus, the thought of all the fit gits passing me a eating all the free goodies, will not go down well, ITS NOT A RACE ITS NOT A RACE ITS NOT A RACE MBNW TOPS COMPULSORY,
