If any of you fancy a good day out on the darkside riding the lanes around my 'Manor' here's the link below to the 'let them eat cake' sportive on the Jubilee bank holiday Tue 5th June. 100km starting & finishing in Nantwich with a food stop halfway at the Eureka cafe (just up the road from me) Lisa Price put me onto this and I'll speak to Trace later so we may give it a bash. www.britishcycling.org.uk/events/details/78708/Let-Them-Eat-Cake!---By-PatisserieCyclisme/POLOCINI

We've got a wedding on the Monday over in Ellsmere Port and are staying over for the night, so are in that neck of the woods anyway. Will have a look and a chat with my social diary manager and see if we have anything planned for the Tuesday

Sounds alright, apart from the bit about "celebrating 60 years of her maj", can I assume Republicans are welcome too ;D will everyone be wearing union jack t-shirts etc?

OK, I've just entered me & Trace into this under the MBNW team banner I hope some of you can join this as it should be a great tootle around the quiet lanes of Cheshire with cake thrown in ;D Sally! I wouldn't worry about the 60mile distance as it equates to a 4 hour mountain bike ride a bit like a longish forum ride, plus when your in a large road group the miles fly by. So get entered folks, the closing date is 31st May at 22:00hrs.

Having just requested a pass from the powers that be I'm afraid I have been given the first rejection of the year This is on the grounds of me only getting back from Fort Bill a day before, apparently my presents is required at a local soirée of local parents in honour of her majesty To be honest I'm a bit gutted as I fancied a spin out on the road bike after Bill, but having already secured passes for a four day stag doo in Newcastle, a five day wedding in Ibiza and the stone roses in June I didn't fancy putting those passes in jeopardy The point was also raised that every time I go home to Nantwich I generally don't return that evening, when I do finally remember my home I'm usually hungover and good for nothing all day. I did pull her up and state that I'm usually good for nothing but this didn't help to lighten the mood......therefore I shall declare myself.....out Have a good one!

Just entered this for me and Margaret under MBNW. It looks like it will be a bit cooler than today's Broken Spoke ride.
