Poor Ben...problem is that Contador never fixes his own punctures ;D . Were they serving cream teas half way round this time?

Yes Geoff plastic ones are now in the bin , metals from now on Take care you don't damage the rims. The chunky levers are good; once you've eased the tyre up a few inches they can be used like a "speed lever". Have a look in your LBS

Cream Teas i thinking you've got confused with the Ruthin Sportive Rupert Last year they were serving cream teas at the Carrog feed station, but wouldn't let people with cycling shoes into the village hall where they were serving Sent from my GT-I9100 using proboards

Yes Geoff plastic ones are now in the bin , metals from now on 'Pedros' tyre levers. Big chunky plastic, indestructible I reckon and shouldn't damage your tube or rim.

The Park blue plastic ones are the best I've found, super strong and don't damage the rim. I punctured coming off worlds end by the ford a few weeks ago, managed to do a tube change in less than three mins using them and a Co2 cart....reason I know!...I was being eaten alive by midgies at the time and every second was one less bite

Ditto on the Park-Tools blue plastic ones. They're nice and rigid. I snapped and bent some of those Halfords black ones before
