TBH elton you'll get a few suggestions but I'd say the high roller would be HIGH up there.

There's been a fair few 'which tyres' threads just recently elton if you have a look. High rollers, advantage, ardent, all made from maxxis seem to be the the popular ones mate and are all very good. I use a minnion on the front and ardent on the back usually in the winter when it's wet. But saying that it's been wet all year and have kept an ardent up front and a crossmark( also maxxis) at the back and they've kept me upright most of the time.

i have used panaracer fire xc for a few years and they seem good in the muddy stuff. havent worn out either in many miles. i always think tyre choice is pretty insignificant when it comes to grip and staying upright for most hobby cyclists. i ride a lot slower than a pro and never really slide around bends and yet i fall off all the time - i dont think it has much to do with the tyres!!! but i suppose if that was the correct attitude i would be riding around on a £50 halfords bike and yet i still spend stupid money on top end stuff! by the way the specialized 'the captain' and 's-works' tyres wear out quite quick.

I never spend more than £15 on a tyre, but then my mother is Scottish. The only time I did I managed to cut the sidewall first time out on Snowdon. I am using Michelin at present and they seem ok, again circa the magic £15 on CRC.

Hi, tyre choice is a personal preference thing, but i use a 2.25 shwalbe nobby nic at the front and a 2.10 racing ralph at the back and thats worked for me for all seasons at penmachno and the marin.

Well I have some conti rubber queen tubeless on at the mo and love them, really really good. I also have a set of non tubeless black chilli rubber queens, (after a cockup with the order) to fit!!! they are ment to be awesome, but haven't got roun to trying them as the non chilli version seem great anyhow!
