Just a heads up for anybody interested in trying something a little different next year. The organisers behind the successfull Llanrwst Triathlon are organising a new event for Sunday 12th of May 2013 The event consists of a 400m pool swim, a 27Km bike and a 5Km run, all held on the lanes around Ruthin. It's billed as a novice friendly event and may be something to aim for, and give people an incentive to get some training in over the dark winter months. Online entry is here

I've entered the Ruthin Triathlon, at least it'll give me some motivation over winter to get out and train....instead of being a couch potato ;D

Sent my entry in at the weekend. Also entered the Llandudno sea Tri in June. Never done one before - this is my annual challenge for 2013.
Anyone got a road bike for sale or suggestions on what to buy. I'm not planning to make triathlons a regular activity, so don't want to spend too much. I am 6'1", so need a reasonably large sized frame

Well, I've entered the Ruthin Triathlon. Obviously enjoy the cycling, quite like swimming, but the running is going to be a shock to the system!
Any (sensible) training tips gratefully received!

It seems a long time ago that I signed up for this.
Just want to say good luck to everyone from MBNW who are taking part in the Ruthin triathlon tomorrow. Hopefully see you on the way round, but I might be in too much pain to say hello!

I'm marshalling the race event tomorrow so should see some of you somewhere out on the course. As far as I know there are five MBNW members taking part tomorrow, so good luck to everyone. And remember, enjoy it
