Thought id start the ball rolling, its been a couple of years since i did a wave so here it is,

Full Marin, 2hr,30 total, with tree down but no diversions
About 29 mins off my best :'(so plenty of room for improvement,

Its now time to forget about past Glory's and start setting new personal bests for the year 2013.

For anyone that doesn't know what a Willy Wave is, basically it's a flying lap of a chosen trail with the aim of beating your personal best. It's a great way of improving your fitness along with setting yourself goals and measuring your fitness progress. There was a lot of waving going on over the last couple of years, but not a lot in 2012 due to the poor weather conditions So we thought this year it would be fun to get a thread going early so we can wave at each other with a little wave table.

So just post your wave in this thread or pm your time and trail to any admin and we will edit this thread, entering your time

This is just a bit of fun for those that like a challenge and is a great way of pushing yourself. It depends entirely on wavers honesty, so remember it is the full length of the trail start to end with no stopping of the clock. Also please remember that this is a bit of friendly banter and is more about beating your own personal best rather than having the top time so there is really no need to cheat, not that most people of here would

Nice one Gwyn not many waves put in this time of year , miles you're getting in and when it's not so wet and slippy expect loads to come off that time .

I can see that Llandegla is almost too difficult now as there as so many variations and combinations of the trails for waving, but can we have Penmachno back please? I still need to try and crack the 2 hours for both loops

I have a better time than that on the Marin from 2010, but I think you're trying to keep it more recent?

Just a thought about waves in llandegla , would it be easier to keep it down to the 3 main trails. Blue, red, then red inc all black. Just an idea

Post up your best time and I'll update the main post. It doesn't matter how long ago it was done as I'm after the quickest each person has managed

I can't see a problem with that, but without JJ's then.

I was thinking about jjs I never bother with them myself but I suppose leave it to first person to record a wave on black if they include it or not, then it's over to said person who has set the bench mark for the black

If your going to do a black wave round llandegla then you best include JJ's
Will be a pretty good loop with plenty of climbing!

What a great idea posting times. It really does give us slower riders goals to aim for. Looking forward to getting over to Marin now see how much slower I am round there. Llandegla times would be really great for me. If possible blue, red as well as the black.

My qiickest Wave for the Marin is 2hr and 1min about 3years ago but am starting afresh for 2013
