A mate of mine got one for North Wales while he was here with me working out of Capel Curig.
We tried to follow one of the routes in it but we didnt find it very clear.
Ride, stop, book out, ride, stop, book out. That was baisicly our day

That's one of the reasons why i like riding trail centres , perhaps i'm just lazy . There are a few rides around the Denbigh moors area that look quite good. I think Conway Mountain is one of the rides as well, i'm sure somebody on here has mentioned that one before?

I've got the Snowdonia one. Likewise apart from the marin, not done much of the rest, used them as a basis for other rides and ideas of where to go. Can't be bothered using a step by step guide.
The one from Capel Curig over to Dolweddelan and back over sarn helen looks good?
Anyone know why the trails at penmachno are not in it? Are they too new?

My local bike shop were selling these really cheap, was tempted to get one. But i'm sure the majority of them can be found on the internet somewhere.

You can buy 'i-guides' of individual routes from the BikeFax website if you don't fancy splashing out on buying one of the books, i think they're only £2 each.
You get a PDF map, and a couple of files for your GPS.

I prefer to get out on the hills on natural trails, theres loads of riding up on the hills behind me in Penmaenmawr, including Conwy mountain, its where it all started for me. If you know it well enough you can make up a good days riding. Theres also the old Roman road up there, thats a good ride down into Aber Nr llanfairfechan.
Trail centers are good for a good hassle free, follow the signs ride, and excellent I think for brushing up on your skills.

I have a useless sense of direction, so trail centres are the best option for me.
I suppose once you know where your going on natural trails though, you can make your own routes up. But its actually planning the whole area out in your head without having to keep refering to a map.
