An excellent result for Dan as I know he was feeling a bit rough on the morning of the event. The course was a 2.25 mile climb called The Stang situated on the edge of The Yorkshire Dales. The route presents a very technical challenge with sections near 20% at the start of the climb, the gradient eases towards a fast downhill section around the halfway mark. The road then rears up over the exposed moors towards a section of false flats near the summit, which comes around a blind bend up to the County Durham border. I don't think the weather helped much either - Also, let's not forget Jessica Roberts who was competing in the ladies catagory and came home in 11th place on the same course and in the same conditions. Well done both of you.

Thanks for the write up guys. :-)
The first climb I've ever done that's been faster than the descent!!! Wind like you wouldn't believe.
