Five of us ventured out last night in less than ideal conditions. However, we were soon peeling off the extra layers at the top of the first climb as the shelter of the trees protected us from the wind. We took the zig zags up to the tower at the top of Moel Fammau, but didn't stay there too long as the wind was a bit strong out of the shelter. We made our way over the Permissive Path and were about to make our way to the Sheep Track when Simon's chain snapped. To be fair, it was one of the quickest fixes I've seen, but still had taken a chunk of time off our ride. So we had a choice to make, carry on the ride and possibly miss the chip butties, or cut the ride short and get to the pub on time. Needless to say, the ride was cut short So after 10 miles and 2 hours of some gloopy, wet riding, we were soon tucking into the highlight of the night. They may not have been home made chips, but at ten o'clock in the evening after a cold night on the bikes, they were probably the nicest chips I've tasted Just a couple of pictures from me this time. Fixing Simon's chain - And while the chain was being fixed, Gareth took the opportunity to phone our order through to the pub I'm on nights next week so will not be out and Gareth is away with work, so not sure if there will be a ride or not. However, if anyne is thinking of gettng out, post it up and you never know who'll turn up
