I phoned my doctors up on Friday to make an appointment for Monday as I'll be in a fair bit of pain after the Merida ;D (if I went earlier they'd only tell me I'm not allowed to do it). The phone was just ringing for 10 minutes with nobody answering. On the third attempt I got through and was told the earliest one they had was on Thursday With hindsight I think phoning up Friday expecting a Monday appointment was a bit optimistic but I think Thursday is taking the biscuit. I don't go to the doctors that often - is it normal to have to wait that long?

Mine in Mold seems to offer appointments about a fortnight away, unless you declare it to be an "emergency" where they will normally try and get you in the following day.

Sounds like I'm doing well then!
When I was at uni, you could normally phone up and get an appointment the same day or if not it was the following day (unless there had been a plague of something - mumps, chlamydia etc. ;D)

yeah - usually about a week for an appoinment for me, but they ask if it's an emergency, so you end up having to lie & exaggerate like all the malingerers do, just to get an appointment. if it was an emergency, I'd go to hospital! sometimes I get put through to a nurse who act as a filter to assess the severity/urgency & can bump you up the queue.
