'The Sinewave'Characteristics: The sinewave is a rare beast. Currently it has only ever been seen on one man's head. That man is not only a forum member, but also the current holder of the 'World's Tidiest Helm' title. World's Tidiest Helm 2010 The diagram below explains how The Sinewave is created and the relation of the sinusoid with the helmet. Thus x=follicles, y=perspiration

Thank God I've got no hair and for once I'm safe ;D I wouldn't be so sure. This is all about helmet heads. I remember on the first forum ride I went on, Martin (who had almost no hair) took off his helm to reveal a beautiful red helmet print underneath ;D.

Nobody should miss-out on having their domes exquisitely adorned by cranial safety wear, including those with little or no hair. Which leads us nicely onto our next helmet head.... 'The Obiwan'Characteristics: The Obiwan Kenobi, to give its full name, is as old as it is smooth. It even makes an appearance in The Domesday book, which the originator of this style allegedly wrote. It is the helmet head of choice for the more folically challenged. The most common two types of The Obiwan are the 'embossed' version seen below, and the 'tiger print' version which is sadly rarely seen in the UK nowadays. Mainly due to unfavourable climactic conditions and the ready availability of high-factor suncream.

That is absolutely class, Arnie! Thank you for your efforts on demonstrating the mathematical formulae for calculating the effect of my "sinewave." You clearly have far too much time on your hands, mate ;D ;D ;D

'The Atlantic Force 10'Characteristics: The title of this spectacular style of Helmet Head says it all. Not even the helmet gods at Giro, Met, Bell etc can predict when one of these freak helmet heads will occur. But when they do, the effects can be devastating. Causing cyclonic pressure to the afflicted's hair and severe gales of laughter within a mile wide radius from the eye of the storm. If you get caught out with one of these bad boys, all you can do is send out a mayday and pray you don't end up like Leo in 'Titanic'.

'The Danish Pastry'This sweaty hair-confection begins to rise when the temperature under the helmet reaches approximately 150 deg f (just before the rider passes out). The Danish Pastry style is perfected here as we can see its perfectly rounded edges. However the very best examples come with a jam or custard centre and covered with a generous sprinkling of almonds. Mmm delicious.
