Has anyone had any problems with hope lights? Last wednesday at llandegla my hope 2 went from fully charged to the low battery flashing mode in around 1 hour. I had only used the medium setting all the way round. Wasnt ideal doing the last few miles on a head torch and a flash every 6 seconds. Afterwards the lights came on when switched off and only disconnecting the battery solved it. It was a very damp night with a bit of mist in places, just wondering if this was the cause. Any info would be welcome.

Sounds like it could have been a short-circuit, caused by damp or moisture perhaps, check your connectors and other parts of your light system that could be susceptible to moisture/water ingress. If its a new lamp and the problem persists i'd be straight on the phone to Hope

The lights are about 10 months old, and were mostly used last winter in cold, frosty conditions, also did a stage of a 24 hour race with them in light showery conditions with no problems, i'll give them another go now they've been dried out and if it keeps happening the phone call will be on its way

There were some problems with loose fitting grommets on the cable entry port and also occasionally damp getting on to the circuit board, they will swap it out almost by return of post, it's no big deal. I sell lots of these and we've had a coupe with the same problem.
