I have changed my tyres for a chunky tread, Been playing about with tyre presures.Last Thursday night I started running with 45 psi all around found it hard work on rocky sections so took some air out of front and rear tyre and felt a lot better.
Just trying to find that presure that feels just right. Its ok having good tyres but its finding the presure to suit the rider.
Whats every body running with out the hastle of pinch flats.

I tend to stick with about 40 in both. never done me any harm and avoided those pesky pinch punctures.

ive run 38-40 in 2.1s for years now, only ever had 1 pinch puncture in all that time, and that was on what must have been the foulest night of the year in derbyshire, luckily it was only a couple of hundred yards from the car park

I run my panaracer cinders 2.1's with tubes at 38 psi and no pinch punctures for a long time.
my mate has stans no tubes wheels with tubeless tyres and they have a maximum PRS rating of 30psi due to rims.

I've found above 30 is uncomfortable on rocky routes like Llandegla (I'm on a hardtail). I've got back home and pumped up for more general riding and found them as low as 20 psi though!
I try to avoid riding through boggy grass and flooded farm tracks but it happened on Monday - 50 psi doesn't give particularly good grip in such cases!
