Anyone done it?
A small group of us are looking at doing C2C offroad later this summer. Just interested in people experiences/route suggestions. Looking at doing it in 4 days, all of us in reasonably good shape so shouldn't be too much of a trial...?

If you're on about the C2C from Whitehaven to Tynemouth, then yes I rode it about 6 years ago. I followed the sustrans route which was well signposted. www.sustrans.org.uk/ncn/map?lat=52.9399536226057&lng=-2.3247582499999453&zoom=6&route-type=all-routes®ion=EnglandThere were some alternative off road sections along the route aswell. Total mileage was 151 which we completed in two days on mtb's. Stayed in Alston which is about halfway. I bought the map from the Sustrans shop online which gave the elevation profile of the route. If it isn't the route you were thinking off then I'd recommend it anyway, enjoy  |
