I was going to post this up later in the week, but I suppose now is as good a time as any
So, with a couple of people showing a bit of interest in the Ruthin Sprint Triathlon, I thought I’d put a list together of other triathlons that are taking place locally.
The events listed are all taking place in North Wales, so not too much travelling involved, and they are a mix of distances to suit all capabilities.
There are three different distance events listed, these are sprint, standard and middle. The distances of each event are listed below; however some triathlons vary slightly to accommodate the course.
The swim is pool based for the sprint and either lake or sea for the other two distances.
Sprint – 400m swim – 25Km Bike – 5Km Run
Standard – 1500m swim – 40Km bike – 10Km run
Middle – 1900m swim – 90Km bike – 21Km run
And for the truly insane there is the 'Ironman' distance events.
3,900m swim - 180Km bike - 40.1Km run or to put it another way -
2.4 mile swim - 112 mile bike - 26.2 mile run.

Hopefully all the links should work. I've also heard whispers of a sprint distance triathlon coming to Mold, but have no information on it as yet.
And just as a matter of interest, I already know of a number of people who post on here that have entered at least the Ruthin and Llanrwst ones.
